The Table Tennis SA Board is currently undertaking a review of the Annual Awards that are made at the end of each calendar year.


2023 TTSA Award Winners
 

S.A.T.T.A Trophy

Best Male player in match play competition conducted by TTSA during the previous twelve months

Winner: Anthony Doldo - Adelaide Table Tennis Club who won all 36 matches (100%)


Jim Aufderheide Trophy

Best Junior Player, taking into account State, Australian and International performances, during the past twelve months

Winner: Steven So – Adelaide Table Tennis Club
Steven won the State Junior Singles in U/15 and U/13 events. Won Onkaparinga Junior U/17 singles and City of Mitcham Junior U/13 singles.  Played winter competition with 70.4% winning record. In National Junior Championships Steven was a member of the U/13 Boys Team that won Gold and won Silver in U/15 Boys Doubles and Bronze in U/13 Boys Doubles and U/13 Mixed Doubles. Competed in the U/13 TTA tournaments in Geelong and Canberra.

Max Medwell Trophy

Outstanding male player, taking into account performances in match play competition, other than the highest grade of play, conducted by TTSA, including performances in tournaments

Gary McDougall - Brighton Table Tennis Club
Gary played in Division 2 in winter pennant and won 25 and lost 7 with a winning ratio of 78.1%. He competed in six tournaments in the veterans age group and won all singles. He is ranked number 1 in the 70 Men's State Rankings.


Official of the Year - Doug Luckraft OAM Trophy

Be awarded to qualified officials, nominated by the Board of SA, for their continued support and performance during the past 12 months.

Dr Wing Au - Having been selected to  officiate at various National and International events around Australia and Overseas. Wing has been instrumental in conducting the first online blended officiating learning course in Australia. Wing also mentors those undertaking the course as well as current officiators at all levels.
 

Chris Leonard Trophy - Athletes with Disabilities

Best AWD player, taking into account State, Australian and International performances, during the previous twelve months.

Sam von Einem - Sam has won Para Men's Class 11 Singles (Gold Medal), Para Men's Class 11 Doubles (Gold Medal), Korea Open Para Class 11 Mens Singles (Bronze Medal), Japan Para Open Class 11 Men's Singles (Gold Medal), Japan Para Open Class 11 Doubles (Gold Medal)
 

Veteran Player of the Year - Molly Gleeson Trophy

Best veteran player, taking into account State, Australian and International performances, during the past twelve months.

Julie Coombes - Woodville Table Tennis Club
Julie won all singles in local tournaments throughout the year. Member of State veteran 75 women's team that won gold at the Nationals in Canberra. Won the O/75 and O/80 women's singles and doubles. Total of 4 gold and 1 silver medal.  Won top award in the O/75 women's teams and was presented with the prestigious KEN COLE TROPHY.

 




Sir Mark L. Mitchell Memorial Trophy

Best male or female senior player, taking into account State, Australian and International performances, during the previous twelve months

Best female player in match play competition conducted by TTSA, during the previous twelve months

Raelene Owen Trophy

Outstanding female player, taking into account performances in match play competition, other the highest grade of play, conducted by TTSA including performances in tournaments
