Country Report 2022
The June Long Weekend Country Carnival 2022 saw good attendance numbers, with 55 players on Saturday and 50 on Sunday.
Country affiliated players came from Port Lincoln, Whyalla, Riverland, Barossa and Light, Murray Bridge, Gt Southern and Mount Gambier.
12 tables were required to ensure matches were completed. The two days of competition were long days that started at 0800 and ran into the evening on both days. Congratulations to all involved.
2022 saw some new country players successful in their quest to represent South Australia in the National Veterans Championships. Many kilometres and hard work was required to meet the qualifying tournaments.
Congratulations to Dennis Robinson, Andrew Gray, Scott Gray and Shane Denman who made State teams that travelled to Darwin in October to represent the state.
