Please note - The maximum number of online registrations has been achieved already, consequently no more registrations are being accepted. Please contact Kay Crowell should you wish to be considered for a future TOPS course.
On Saturday 17th January 2026, a TOPS Table Tennis Coaching Course will be conducted by Kay Crowell. The course will cost all participants $160.00 to cover TTA course documentation, administration and delivery.
The course will be held at the East Adelaide / Houghton clubrooms commencing at 9.30 am and concluding at approximately 4.00pm.
The TOPS Coaching qualification is designed to educate coaches in the basic skills of table tennis, as well as the concepts of group management, organisation, activity safety and creating an enjoyable training environment.
The course is directed towards teachers, parents and new coaches who are involved in entry-level programs such as Spinneroos and Sporting Schools.
Course Requirements
1. Complete TTA TOPS Table Tennis Course
2. Achieve competency in all 3 Assessment Tools
· Tool 1 - Session Planning - Written - In Course Assessment
· Tool 2 - Basic Techniques & Multiball - Practical - In Course Assessment
· Tool 3 - Coaching Session - Practical - In Course Assessment
3. Be a current participant or life member of TTA
4. A current Working With Children check (or State equivalent)

Participants will be expected to complete / have already completed the following online modules;
· · General Principles of Community Coaching
It should be noted that before a coach can undertake coaching activity in South Australia, Table Tennis South Australia requires that the coach obtain a Department of Human Services (DHS) ‘working with children’ history assessment clearance.
