Travel assistance for country juniors

The Country Table Tennis Committee (CTTC) would like to offer to country Juniors $100 to contribute towards travel / accommodation to any state event, including state training.

A Junior can claim for one such event in 2018 and one in 2019.

It is also understood that there are a couple of para players participation in international events. CTTC would also like to offer $100 to those players, for participating in such an event.

Form letters are attached, for use by eligible players. Forms will need to be filled out and returned to CTTC Secretary Sally Kunze: kunze.bbas@bigpond.com or PO Box 1068 Port Lincoln, SA 5606.

2019 State Coaches, Team Managers and State Selectors

Nominations are being sought for the positions of State Coach, Team Managers and State Selectors for the following events:

  • National Senior and Youth Championships: 8-13 April, Latrobe Churchill, Victoria
  • National Junior Championships: 7-13 July, Wollongong, NSW
  • National Veterans Championships – 12 – 19 October2019

Attached are extracts of the relevant requirements for the appointment of State Coaches/Team Manager as contained in the State Selectors, Coaches, Players and Team Managers Regulations. A full copy of the policy can be found here.

Coaching Scholarships Available – 2019 National Hopes Weeks

TTA is pleased to announce that we will be offering up to two scholarships worth $750 each for coaches to attend the 2019 National Hopes Week, to be hosted by Loops Table Tennis in Melbourne from 21-25 January 2019.

Benefits of the scholarships include:

Working with John Murphy, TTA National Head Coach (Able-Bodied) and Patrick Wuertz, ITTF-Oceania High Performance Officer, for the duration of the event.
Access to the latest international training and coaching techniques.
Access to coach education sessions away from training and competition.
Access to in-competition coaching methods and techniques.
Create and grow networks with coaches and players from around Australia.

2018 ITTF Oceania Tour

State and Territory Associations

Please see below and attached for information relating to the ITTF-Oceania Tour Event that will be held on the Gold Coast on 25-26 August 2018. Note that the Gold Coast Open will be played at the same time.

This will be a good opportunity for additional high level competition exposure, plus a chance to earn points for the ITTF-Oceania Tour and potentially earn prize money.

2018 AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

INFORMATION BULLETIN

This bulletin is for the information of parents and players considering making themselves available for selection in a South Australian team for the 2018 Australian Junior Championships.

All players will be expected to adhere to all the conditions set out in the attached EXPRESSION OF INTEREST form (and the DECLARATION form they will be required to sign if they are subsequently selected in the team).  

Team selection period ends 22 July 2018 with the State Junior Teams to be announced following the close of the selection period.  Teams will be publically announced via the website, www.tabletennissa.org.au with letters to follow thereafter.
