A women's development initiative by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) to increase female participation in table tennis called 'My Gender, My Strength' aims to support innovative and engaging national programs developed especially for women and girls to ensure well-designed carrer pathways to support their transition from players to leaders.
 

This program supports the innovative Table Tennis Australia 'Girls Only spinneroos program' to introduce girls (aged 5-12) to Table Tennis. The Spinneroos program is a FUN, SAFE and INCLUSIVE program with the aim of providing an opportunity for young girls to participate in a safe environment, build self confidence and develop their table tennis skills.  Another aim is to develop the female coaches who wil run the program.

In  South Australia the 'Girls Only' spinneroos program' will be held in November at the Adelaide Table Tennis Club and the Southern Table Tennis Association

The cost of the program is free for the first 10 participants at each of the Adelaide Club and the Southern Association.  Thereafter it is only $25 per participant.

Each participant receives:

• a beginners bat
• 3 table tennis balls
• a spinneroos program t-shirt
