National Hopes Tour - South Australia - Book Your Spot
Published Mon 25 May 2026
Table Tennis Australia (TTA) is excited to announce the expansion of the National Hopes Tour for 2026/27, delivering more opportunities than ever before for Australia’s emerging table tennis talent to develop within a high-performance environment.
You can book your spot on the South Australia tour here!
Following a successful inaugural year of the tour, the second iteration of the National Hopes Tour will expand from three to six events across five States and Territories, providing young athletes with increased access to National Coaches, high-performance support practitioners, and elite development experiences.
Aligned to the International Table Tennis Federations Hopes Program, the National Hopes Tour continues to play a vital role in the athlete pathway, helping identify and develop the next generation of Australian representatives.
Throughout the tour, athletes will have the opportunity to earn Hopes Points, which contribute towards qualification opportunities for future international competition.
The core structure of the camps will remain consistent, with athletes participating in a four-day training camp and one day of competition. The South Australia event will trial a shorter-format Hopes Tour aimed at reducing time away from school while still delivering meaningful development opportunities. Athletes attending the SA Tour will receive pro-rata Hopes Points and entry fees.
The stand-out reward for the 2026/27 National Hopes Tour will be selection for the ITTF-Oceania Hopes Week 2027. As in 2025/26, qualification will be awarded to the winner of the overall Hopes Points standings and the winner of the National Hopes Tour – VIC II finale.
Each National Hopes Tour will also feature a Pathways Camp to run side-by-side before the competition, ensuring broader opportunities for athletes to experience a high-performance training environment and engage with Australia’s national development system.
Rob Gomm, TTA's General Manager: Olympic Program, added: “Expanding the National Hopes Tour reflects our commitment to strengthening the athlete pathway and giving more young players access to high‑performance development. With more events and locations, athletes can engage with national coaches, gain elite training experiences, and better prepare for future international opportunities.”
The Tour will align with major national and state events, enabling athletes to immediately apply their learning in competition settings.
