ENTERING TOURNAMENTS IN 2024 - PROCESS  

In the TTSA revolutioniseSPORT website a tournament is known as an event.
Over the last few years TTSA have been accepting tournament entries both online and via a completed entry form attached to an email.

This year (2024) entry to all city tournaments must be made online via this website. Often there will be a link to a Club revolutioniseSPORT portal.
Online entry is quick and easy and has benefits to both players and tournament organisers. Most players have now had experience in entering events online.

Entry forms will no longer be sent to players via an outlook distribution list, the list often being out of date.

Players now need to regularly check the home page of this website in the Competition Calendar or Upcoming Events.
Click on the name of the tournament that you wish to enter which has a link to the tournament entry page where you will see a Register box that you click. 
 
Generally  you will see instructions on how to select the events that you wish to enter.

For both players and tournament organisers online entry has many advantages:

• Players no longer need to complete an entry form, attach it to an email and email to the tournament organiser
• For players the online process is easy and there is little knowledge of computers required.
• An automated email is generated when you enter online acknowledging your entry.
• For organisers there is now no longer a need to receive and acknowledge many emails.
• Emails often ended in the spam folder or the entry form attachment was unreadable.
• Often the entry form was forgotten to be attached.
• For the tournament organiser a report may be run of all the entries making it easier to enter the information into Zermelo the tournament software program.
• There is no need for organisers to maintain email distribution lists.
• The organisers may send out a group email to all those who entered should there be a major change such as cancellation due to heat policy.
• A player may view who else has entered the tournament - Who's going?
• A warning though, once the closing date and closing time for entries has been reached no further entries will be accepted by the system.
